"OK if you have a hacksaw" 2010-04-01

By guitar hero (San Dimas, CA United States)

The HTC2000 adjusts to a minimum of 23" but the short side of my new Grizzly G0555 bandsaw (which this is supposed to fit) is 18" (16" between the feet, which are set in from the edge). You can make it work if you take a hacksaw and cut off 5 inches, but that shouldn't be necessary. The 167-pound saw is not secured to the mobile base and, surprisingly, tends to slide around a bit if you lean too hard. Spend a few bucks more and buy a base from the company that makes the tool you want to use on it.

 "Misleading Dimensions" 2010-03-28

By J. Guerrera

Don't buy this model if you plan on using it for your 36" wide storage cabinet. The advertised 36" maximum length is measured from the outside of the frame. The inside dimension is a bit over 35". Your 36" cabinet will not drop down inside. I had to build a wooden frame to sit ontop of the base which the cabinet sat on.

 "Mobile Base" 2010-03-26

By David Plucker (Boothwyn, PA)

This mobile base came just as advertised. The instructions were informative and had helpful hints which made the assembly a one-time deal w/out having to backtrack and re-do stages of assembly. Once built, it easily carries the cast iron 20" bandsaw that I put on it.

"Easy to assemble, works great" 2010-02-26

By Robert D. Henning (Apopka, FL United States)

I bought the HTC2000 for my Jet 6 inch jointer model JJ-6CSDX. I assembled it in my kitchen on a flat surface (don't tell my wife I did it on the granite top) so I could level it out in rest position. It took about 30 minutes to put together, barely had to open the instructions (but did verify in the end). For my particular use, I did not have to use the extension bars, so it's really a solid setup for the Jet 6 inch jointers. Once in use, it's easy to get the jointer off the ground, and when I set it back down, it's a little bit of a drop (I think I can do it better though), but the item is secure in resting position. Really a great product for the money. Highlly recommend it.

 "HTC2000 UMB is great" 2010-02-10

By Paul H. Vollbehr (Colorado)

This Universal Mobile Base is just another great way to move your machines around. In my case ,my Powermatic bandsaw so I may clean behind it. For small wood shops like mine, you can't beat it. Actually I have one on all my machines and you just can't beat the price and the weight it will support. I am totally happy with it, do I need to say more......
